A Taste of Tradition
Led by the chef with care and conviction, food and drink here are about honesty, balance, and flavour. Expect proper pies, vegetables cooked with respect so they keep their bite, and desserts that are generous without excess — including local Groovy Moo Ice Cream worth lingering over. Breads come from Bluebird Bakery, while Deluxe Rooms are finished with Florian Poirot chocolates. Everything arrives at the table with warmth and character, shaped by skilled local producers and done well, without unnecessary fuss.
The same approach guides the drinks: local brews with a sense of place, wines chosen for how they taste — including thoughtful selections from Yorkshire Heart Wines — alongside British spirits such as Rare Bird Gin, served with Harrogate Spring Water, and locally roasted coffee from Roost to finish. It’s comfort without compromise — food and drink meant to be shared, enjoyed, and remembered.

Easter Dining
Easter is pleasantly straightforward, a warm welcome, a good family lunch, a tasty dinner, plates filled with seasonal flavours. Spring arrives, spirits lift, and we all agree it was a great idea to come
Mothering Sunday
Mums are special, and March 15th is the day to treat them well. A calm, generous lunch with beautifully cooked seasonal dishes, genuine warmth and time to linger. Thoughtful, unfussy and made to be enjoyed together
A Sunday Tradition
The Sunday roast — an age-old British tradition, lovingly reimagined in our inns. Think perfectly roasted meats, spuds with a satisfying crunch, Yorkshire puddings puffed up proud as punch, and seasonal veg cooked to just the right bite, all generously bathed in the chef’s rich, glossy gravy. It’s a meal that feels like a warm hug from history, comforting, familiar, and full of flavour, with just enough finesse to keep things interesting. A proper Sunday, done right.
